Burrack publishes 'How Music is Learned'

Submitted by Frederick William Burrack

Frederick Burrack, chair of graduate studies in music and director of assessment, published an article in the Practicing Musician titled "How Music is Learned."

The article connects the national standards in music — and its Model Cornerstone Assessment — and current neurological research on music learning to guide understanding of how and why we teach music in schools.
