Katie Larson recognized as Professional Staff of the Week
Katie Larson, student success coordinator in the Center on Aging, was recognized as Professional Staff of the Week at the Feb. 17 men's home basketball game.
Faculty Senate, the Office of the President, K-State Athletics, and the Division of Communications and Marketing wish to recognize her contributions to K-State.
Larson started at the center over a year ago as the student success coordinator for the gerontology undergraduate and graduate programs. Since then, she has learned quickly, becoming a fierce advocate and champion of students. Additionally, she has taken on new roles and challenges like instructing the Introduction to Gerontology course and coordinating the office refresh including helping paint.
Larson is a team player and leader in the office. She exudes positivity and a can-do attitude. Larson is constantly on the hunt for new ways to connect with students and bring them into the K-State Center on Aging family. We are better because of her.
