Beach exhibition: 'Robert J. Lang: Insect Origami'
This exhibition features larger-than-life origami insects by Robert J. Lang. Organized in collaboration with the K-State Insect Zoo. On display at the Beach Museum of Art through Dec. 24.

Beach exhibition: 'Renewal: K-State Art Department Faculty Biennial'
This exhibition features work by K-State art department faculty over the past two years. On display through Dec. 24 at the Beach Museum.

Hale exhibition: 'Beyond Oz: the Other Works of L. Frank Baum'
Pieces from K-State's L. Frank Baum collection will be on display in the fifth floor gallery of Hale Library. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The exhibit will be on display through Dec. 31.

Chang exhibition: 'Not Simply Every Sunset Over Eden'
Robert Condia, K-State professor of architecture, will display his paintings and sketches. Seaton Hall's Chang Gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. This exhibition will run through Jan. 2.

Beach exhibition: 'Recreating Oz in Comics'
This exhibition, a collaboration with K-State's English department, is an exploration of the ways in which artists have adapted the Oz story to the comic book form. The exhibition features the work of artist, writer, and Oz historian Eric Shanower and Marvel Comics artist Skottie Young. On display through Jan. 31

McCain Performance series: Shaolin Warriors

7:30 p.m., McCain Auditorium. This theatrical production includes the skill, stunning movement and spectacular imagery of Kung Fu. The group consists of disciples of the Shaolin schools who are known for their prowess in martial arts. Call 532-6428 for ticket information.

4 to 5 p.m., Hemisphere Room, Hale Library. A reading by author Robert Day, best known for his novel "The Last Cattle Drive," which was a Book-of-the-Month Club selection and has been re-printed in a 30th anniversary edition.

IT Training: Working with Cascading Style Sheets in Dreamweaver
2 to 4 p.m., 202 Fairchild Hall. This session will cover creating, attaching and applying cascading style sheets to Web pages using Dreamweaver; understanding the different panels used to work with cascading style sheets in Dreamweaver; and recognizing the type of style sheet or styles being viewed. Those attending should have experience with and knowledge of HTML, cascading style sheets, Dreamweaver and be comfortable working with Windows operating systems and the Web environment.
