Senior honor society Mortar Board selects new members

MANHATTAN — Mortar Board Senior Honor Society at Kansas State University has selected its new members for the 2018-2019 school year.
The members must work to uphold the organization's ideals of leadership, scholarship and service on the university campus and in the Manhattan community.
The following students, who will be seniors in the 2018-2019 school year, are new members of Mortar Board:
Emily Ebert, life science, Clay Center; Stephanie McGivern, political science and anthropology, El Dorado; Rafael Garcia, mass communications, and Sarah Moyer, agriculture communications and journalism, both from Emporia.
From Greater Kansas City: Gabrielle Ciccarelli, nutritional sciences, and Elizabeth Weesner, chemistry, both from Leawood; Timothy Brill, secondary education-biological science, and Max Meyer, chemical engineering, both from Lenexa; Rachael Cunningham, life science, Merriam; Andrew Buyle, mechanical engineering, Olathe; Logan Coates, mechanical engineering, Jacob Ockerhausen, mechanical engineering, Zachary Smith, secondary education-earth science, and Benjamin Walberg, management, all from Overland Park.
Sydney Vahling, biology, Hays; Darah Portenier, communication sciences and disorders, Kirwin; Riley Burghart, biology, McPherson; Ashlyn Fisher, biology, St. John.
From Wichita: Cole Klinkhammer, computer science; Elyssa Kohler, psychology; and Leah Nelson, biochemistry.
From out of state: Jacob Modlin, accounting and management information systems, Faucett, Missouri; Edward Genovese, industrial engineering, Frisco, Texas; and William Carter, computer science, Thiensville, Wisconsin.
