Kansas State University's College of Human Ecology awards 29 outstanding seniors

MANHATTAN — The College of Human Ecology at Kansas State University will recognize 29 graduating seniors at the Honors and Outstanding Senior Awards Reception at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, in the K-State Student Union.
This year's outstanding senior award winners were nominated by faculty, staff and fellow students for excellence in engagement, leadership or research and creative activities within each of their respective programs.
"We are proud to recognize our students and their contributions they have made throughout their academic career here at K-State," said Shawna Jordan, assistant dean of the college. "The breadth and depth of their experiences prepare them to be successful as they enter the next stages of their careers and lives. These awards are a chance for the college to recognize the diversity of our programs and the impact the students make on them."
The Outstanding Engagement Award is given to graduating seniors who have made exemplary contributions that impact the well-being of the community or individuals in the community. The Outstanding Student Leadership Award is given to graduating seniors who have exhibited excellence in leadership and for their contributions to the campus, college, program and professional organizations. The Outstanding Research and Creative Activity Award is given to graduating seniors whose research or creative activity have made a significant contribution to their field of study.
