K-State students earn scholarships from Kansas City chapter of ASHRAE

MANHATTAN — Ethan Engle, Franklin, and Eric Ashlock, St. Joseph, Missouri, both seniors in the GE Johnson Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science at Kansas State University, have been awarded district-level scholarships from the Kansas City chapter of ASHRAE.
Recipients of the $1,000 scholarships were announced at the Kansas City ASHRAE meeting March 2. Criteria for the award include current enrollment in an accredited engineering or engineering technology curriculum; potential service to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, or HVAC&R, industry; leadership ability; and character.
The Kansas City chapter is a part of the global society of ASHRAE, which advances human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The society and its more than 56,000 members worldwide focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability.
