K-State Online students receive scholarships

MANHATTAN — More than 75 students attending Kansas State University Online received scholarships this spring semester ranging in amounts from $600 to $1,500 each and totaling $44,800.

K-State Global Campus, which oversees K-State Online, works hard to offer scholarships to its online students, who are predominately adults attending classes part time while balancing work and family responsibilities. The scholarships are available to both part-time and full-time students to provide more individuals the opportunity to earn a degree at their own pace.

The following K-State Global Campus students are spring 2021 scholarship recipients:

Tina Valenzuela, doctoral student in curriculum and instruction, Arma, Maurine Allison O'Bannon Memorial Scholarship.

From Greater Kansas City: Lesli Malcolm, junior in personal financial planning, Kansas City, K-State Kansas Insurance Certificate Scholarship; Mike O'Mara, senior in food science and industry, Nathan and Becky Smit Food Innovation Scholarship, and Danielle Stegall, junior in personal financial planning, K-State Kansas Insurance Certificate Scholarship, both from Overland Park.
