Students to serve as speakers, vocalists and musicians at K-State commencement ceremonies
MANHATTAN — Several Kansas State University students have been selected as speakers, vocalists or musicians at the university's upcoming commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 7, at K-State Salina and Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14, on the Manhattan campus. These students include:
• Ethan Doherty, Master of Interior Architecture & Product Design candidate, Girard, will deliver student remarks at the College of Architecture, Planning & Design commencement celebration at 10 a.m. May 14 in McCain Auditorium.
• Sara Schlickau, bachelor's candidate in bakery science management, Hutchinson, will sing the national anthem at commencement for the College of Agriculture at 2:30 p.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Abby Quigley, bachelor's candidate in finance, Leawood, will present the student remarks at commencement for the College of Business Administration at 12:30 p.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Carter Couchman, bachelor's candidate in secondary English education, Lindsborg, will present the student address at commencement for the College of Education at 11 a.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Jordyn Allen, senior in applied music and psychology, Manhattan, will play the processional and recessional for the Graduate School commencement ceremony at 1 p.m. and the processional, K-State alma mater and recessional for the College of Veterinary Medicine commencement ceremony at 3:30 p.m., both May 13 in Bramlage Coliseum. She also will play the processional and recessional for the College of Education commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. and the College of Business Administration ceremony at 12:30 p.m., both May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Jasmin Choate, Manhattan, bachelor's candidate in animal sciences and industry, will give the student reflections for the College of Agriculture commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Ryan Hernandez, senior in music education, Manhattan, will sing the national anthem and K-State alma mater at commencement for the College of Education at 11 a.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Oliver Hutchison, bachelor's candidate in civil engineering, Manhattan, will sing the national anthem and the K-State alma mater for the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering commencement ceremony at 6:30 p.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Brittany Kovar, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine candidate, Manhattan, will sing the national anthem at commencement for the College of Veterinary Medicine at 3:30 p.m. May 13 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Katherine Westhoven, master's candidate in music, Manhattan, will sing the national anthem and K-State alma mater at commencement for the Graduate School at 1 p.m. May 13 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Aliza Swan, bachelor's candidate in professional strategic selling, Olathe, will sing the national anthem and K-State alma mater at commencement for the College of Business Administration at 12:30 p.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Mary Dredger, master's student in music, St. Marys, will play the processional and recessional at commencement for the College of Agriculture at 2:30 p.m.; the processional, national anthem, K-State alma mater and the recessional for the College of Health Human Sciences commencement ceremony at 4:30 p.m.; and the processional and recessional for the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering commencement ceremony at 6:30 p.m., all May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Sierra Staatz, bachelor's candidate in chemical engineering, Tonganoxie, will give the student address for the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering commencement ceremony at 6:30 p.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Carson Scheer, Master of Landscape Architecture candidate, Topeka, will deliver student remarks at the College of Architecture, Planning & Design commencement celebration at 10 a.m. May 14 in McCain Auditorium.
• Scuyler Zenger, bachelor's candidate in food science and industry, Washington, will be the student speaker for the College of Agriculture commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Abigail Mason, Master of Regional & Community Planning candidate, Wichita, will deliver student remarks at the College of Architecture, Planning & Design commencement celebration at 10 a.m. May 14 in McCain Auditorium.
• Eric Webb, bachelor's candidate in engineering technology-computer systems and 2021-2022K-State Salina student body vice president, Wichita, will lead the processional and recessional and be the student speaker and student marshal at commencement for K-State Salina at 10 a.m. May 7 in the campus's Student Life Center.
• Raymond Pottios, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine candidate and president of the veterinary medicine class of 2022, Kansas City, Missouri, will give the student address at commencement for the College of Veterinary Medicine at 3:30 p.m. May 13 in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Carl Glosenger, Master of Architecture candidate, Raytown, Missouri, will deliver student remarks at the College of Architecture, Planning & Design commencement celebration at 10 a.m. May 14 in McCain Auditorium.
• Payton Boldt, senior in applied music, Omaha, Nebraska, will sing the national anthem and K-State alma mater at the College of Arts and Sciences commencement ceremony at 8:30 a.m. May 14 in Bramlage Coliseum.
