College of Business names outstanding senior
MANHATTAN — Ally Demott, senior in human resource management and organizational management, Rock Port, Missouri, is the recipient of the Kansas State University College of Business Outstanding Graduating Senior Award.
She will be recognized at the college's commencement ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, in Bramlage Coliseum.
Demott, who also is earning a certificate in business of sports and entertainment, has been active in the college. She has served as a Business Ambassador; a student senator in the Student Governing Association, serving on the Senate Operations Committee; a member of the Business College Tuition Committee; and a member of the Dean's Student Advisory Council. Demott has been a member of the Student Governing Association, the Senate Operations Committee, and the K-State Collegiate Quiz Bowl Club. Demott's honors include the Purple and White Scholarship, the Herbert and Neva Blevins Scholarship, the Dean's List Scholarship and the American FFA Degree.
The daughter of Marlene and Cecil Demott, Demott is a graduate of Rock Port High School. She will stay in Manhattan after graduation to work in her chosen field.
