McCain Performance Series single tickets go on sale July 22 for most shows

MANHATTAN — The 2024-2025 McCain Performance Series at Kansas State University returns this fall with a full line-up of legendary musicians, fabulous Broadway musicals, dazzling entertainers and much more.
Broadway smash hits "THE BOOK OF MORMON," "Dear Evan Hansen," "STOMP" and "Menopause The Musical 2"; acclaimed blues/gospel/rock artists The Blind Boys of Alabama and Shemekia Copeland; celebrated country music attractions Blackberry Smoke, Aaron Watson, The Gatlin Brothers, vintage pop rockers The Righteous Brothers, Starship, Foghat, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils and The Pointer Sisters; jazz giants Kurt Elling and The Yellowjackets; and thrilling shows for the whole family including "The Aluminum Show" and The Peking Acrobats highlight the series.
The season also offers the return of two popular attractions: Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis and the Mnozil Brass celebrating their 30th anniversary. Comedy great Lewis Black will take the stage just in time for the election while classical music fans will enjoy "The Mikado" performed by The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players. The Academy of St Martin in the Fields will also perform with piano soloist Bruce Liu, winner of the 2021 Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.
The series will also feature plenty of dance attractions, including MALEVO, a group specializing in the traditional Argentine folk-dance art form Malambo, and The Paul Taylor Dance Company, one of the most influential modern dance groups of the past 50 years.
Two attractions with local flavor will appear. The Flint Hills Children's Choir will perform for the third time in the McCain Performance Series with special guests The Manhattan Youth Symphony and Bates Dance Studios. HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis will feature Jeff Hiller, co-star of Bridgett Everett on HBO's "Somebody Somewhere," in what is being billed as "the most interactive comedy show in the world."
Season tickets are on sale now with discounts from 10-20% for those who subscribe to seven or more events. The more shows ordered, the higher the discount. Subscribers also receive a chance at priority seating when renewing in subsequent years.
Single tickets for "THE BOOK OF MORMON" only will go on sale online at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 21. Single tickets for the rest of the season will be available online beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, July 22. In-person and phone sales will begin at noon Wednesday, July 24.
