MANHATTAN — Kansas State University's McCain Performance Series kicks off the season with country star Aaron Watson at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5.
For more than 20 years, Aaron Watson has traveled the land as country music's ultimate underdog troubadour — an independent artist with the spirit of the American frontier in his veins and a self-made empire to match. Working without corporate backers, he reached the Top 10 of Billboard's country album chart five separate times, including "The Underdog," his 2015 set that landed at number one. Watson is committed to his craft, and his music continues to reach new levels.
Tickets are available online at mccain.k-state.edu or at the ticket office in the McCain lobby from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. Tickets are also available by phone at 785-532-6428 during the same hours.
