MANHATTAN — The College of Business Administration at Kansas State University recently hosted two sessions of its Summer Institute for high school students, held on June 2-5 and June 23-26.

More than 75 high school students, grades 10-12, from seven states across the region, participated in this immersive program. Each day, students experienced life as a K-State College of Business Administration student, exploring key areas such as marketing, management, accounting and finance. Through interactive sessions, students were encouraged to challenge their creativity and leadership skills while gaining insights into the world of business.

The program culminated in an entrepreneurial pitch challenge, where students applied their newly acquired knowledge to compete for K-State scholarships. In addition to their academic experiences, participants stayed on campus, dined in university facilities, and engaged with local business owners throughout their time at K-State.

Faculty and staff from across the college, along with support from the Center for Principled Business, made the institute a success. The program was generously supported by donors, including lead corporate partners Koch Industries and Deloitte, whose contributions made the scholarship opportunities possible.
