Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025

MANHATTAN — Kansas State University's College of Health and Human Sciences invites 2025-2026 high school juniors and seniors to apply for its 2025 Health Professions Exploration Program. The program will be offered in two sessions, June 8-13 and June 22-27.

The weeklong program is designed for incoming high school juniors and seniors who are interested in a career helping others through the health care industry. Participants will come to meet, explore and experience a variety of health care professions and academic programs with a small cohort of like-minded high school students.

Participants in past cohorts have explored various professions and academic programs such as speech-language pathology, exercise as medicine, gerontology, nursing, medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant, dietetics, cancer research and more.

Due to the high demand for this program, registration for the 2025 sessions will be done through an application process. The online application form is available until 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 20. Participants who are accepted into the program will be notified the week of March 10. Twenty participants will be accepted for each session.

Registration will be $450 for those accepted into the program who choose to share a room with another participant.
