MANHATTAN — The McCain Performance Series welcomes the Thundering Cats Big Band back to the stage for a night of outstanding vocalists from the community performing classic big band and vocal repertoire at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7.

The Thundering Cats Big Band was established in Manhattan in 2009. Directed by Frederick Burrack, the band comprises local musicians from diverse backgrounds. Each fall and spring, they perform for community events and support initiatives such as funding for McCain Auditorium’s educational and outreach programs. A highlight of their concerts is the opportunity for community members to sing alongside the big band on the McCain stage. The musicians are thrilled by this chance and are dedicated to keeping big band music alive for the region’s music lovers.
