MANHATTAN — Get ready for some unique family fun with The Aluminum Show, the next event in the McCain Performance Series, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2.
This distinctive production brings the material, the music and the artists together on stage in a magical, mystery-filled creation combining visual theater, dance and humor into an exciting, multisensory experience. This is the story of one man's incredible journey to a parallel universe — a futuristic planet made entirely of aluminum.
Aluminum pipes come to life before the audience's eyes, transforming into imaginary, mysterious and playful characters. The new show was written and directed by Lior Kalfo, the creator of the internationally successful productions "Voca People," "Fantasy" and "Glow." The choreography was designed by Ido Tadmor, one of Israel's leading choreographers, and the artistic direction is provided by Ilan Azriel, co-creator of the renowned international Aluminum Show.
Tickets are available online at mccain.k-state.edu or at the ticket office in the McCain lobby from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. Tickets are also available by phone at 785-532-6428 during the same hours. Tickets for youth 17 and younger are half price for this show.
