Keshia Knight Pulliam from 'Cosby Show' to speak at Kansas State University

MANHATTAN — Known for her role as Rudy Huxtable, the youngest daughter on the hit sitcom "The Cosby Show," Keshia Knight Pulliam has established an eminent career not only on the television screen, but also as a motivational speaker.
At 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, Pulliam will speak at Kansas State University in the K-State Alumni Center's Ballroom. Pulliam will give an inspirational message at the Alpha Phi Alpha Lecture Series about following your passion and her path to success. Her presentation is free and the public is invited.
"This event will bring older and younger generations together," said Brandon Clark, coordinator of the event and program assistant for the university's office of diversity. "We want those who come to leave with an inspirational message and be encouraged to follow their passion through all paths of life."
Pulliam has won three NAACP Image Awards for best supporting actress in a comedy series for "House of Payne."After graduating with honors from Spelman University in 2001, Pulliam resumed her acting career and has become a notable icon in her Atlanta community. Her entrepreneurial spirit is shown with her Atlanta-based production company, Kizzy Productions, and she has begun a nonprofit organization for young girls, Kamp Kizzy.
The Alpha Phi Alpha Lecture Series has brought world-renowned speakers to Kansas State University over the last 10 years. Each speaker has brought a different and distinctive take away that the audience can apply to their lives.
