MANHATTAN — Rebecca Keating, Adrian, Missouri, a third-year student in Kansas State University's interior architecture & product design program, has been awarded a scholarship from the Planning and Visual Education Partnership, or PAVE.
Each year, a handful of design students throughout the country are awarded a scholarship from the partnership, which has a mission to invest in the next generation of leaders by providing talented students financial support and industry exposure to ensure the future viability of the retail industry. Recipient selection is based both on need and merit.
Keating was awarded the highest level of funds based on the motivation and conviction she has demonstrated throughout her academic career and the enthusiasm she shares for the design industry.
"On behalf of everyone in our industry, we wish you the best of luck with your education, Rebecca Keating," said Dave Nagel, managing director of the Planning and Visual Education Partnership.
