Student from Wichita earns College of Business Administration's Outstanding Senior Award

MANHATTAN — Anne Feldkamp, a May 2016 bachelor's candidate in management information systems, Wichita, is the Kansas State University College of Business Administration's Outstanding Senior in Business for spring 2016.
The award is presented each semester to a graduating senior who has made notable contributions to the college.
A graduate of Bishop Carrol Catholic High School, Feldkamp is an honors list student who has been actively involved in the life of the college. She has worked for three years as a student assistant in the Office of Academic Personnel, has been a mentee in the college's Executive Mentor Program and was a member of the K-State Tennis Club.
She has won numerous scholarships and awards, including being named a Phillips 66 Shield Scholar, a Koch Discovery Scholar, a Vanier Family Business Administration Merit Scholar and a Wefald Business Advisory Council Scholar. As a student leader, Feldkamp has served as president of the Management Information Systems Club, chair and secretary of the Smurthwaite Scholarship Leadership House, and a member of the Dean's Student Advisory Council.
"I've really enjoyed my time at K-State," Feldkamp said. "Everyone here, from the faculty and staff to the other students, are always really friendly and willing to help each other out."
Over the past two summers Feldkamp completed internships for Hallmark and Garmin, respectively. Following graduation, she plans to move to Omaha, Nebraska, where she is seeking a career in corporate IT.
