'The Sound of Christmas': Elisabeth von Trapp performing holiday favorites at McCain Auditorium

MANHATTAN -- Elisabeth von Trapp and the Carolian Brass will present "The Sound of Christmas" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, in McCain Auditorium as part of Kansas State University's McCain Performance Series.
Von Trapp is the granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired "The Sound of Music." She will perform Bach, Handel and famous Broadway numbers with the accompaniment of the Carolian Brass, one of North America's finest brass ensembles. The show also will include a medley from "The Sound of Music" as well as other festive holiday favorites.
Von Trapp has entertained audiences around the world, performing from the cathedrals of Europe to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Her medley of classic holiday favorites is an evening that the whole family can enjoy.
