Teaching involves a lot of understanding who you have and where you are.  This allows you to develop a teaching plan that fits the culture that you enter.  This includes community, district, school, as well as your particular classroom.  When teaching students, it is important to realize demographics and where they come from.  Without an understanding of who each individual student is, it is impossible to give adequate equal opportunities for the students to perform.  Especially when students stick out as needing a chance separate from their classmates, it is important to analyze why you see this and what ways you can modify or adapt instruction to fit their needs.
