University personnel and administration test emergency scenario on campus

MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University practiced an emergency exercise on campus on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

The scenario involved an earthquake. There were no injuries but parts of campus were damaged, including the university's power plant and research nuclear reactor. University personnel performed a decontamination at Ward Hall, which contains the research reactor.

The drill was conducted to test university personnel's effectiveness in handling an emergency.
