Initiations
Scholars are invited to join Phi Kappa Phi based on academic criteria. Please note the following:
- If you are currently an undergraduate with junior standing, you qualify for invitation if, after completing 72 credit hours, your GPA is in the top 7.5% of your college.
- If you are currently an undergraduate with senior standing, you qualify for invitation if, after completing 90 credit hours, your GPA is in the top 10% of your college.
- If you are currently a graduate student, your qualify for invitation if, after completing 18 credits, your GPA is in the top 10% of all students in the Graduate School.
- If you are a veterinary student, you qualify if you are in your second, third, or fourth year and you have a GPA in the top 10% of your class.
You must accept the invitation to join (you do not automatically become a member). Invitations are typically sent out early in the Spring semester.
The Initiation Ceremony is a formal public opportunity to honor the Society, explain what membership means, and to welcome the new members to the Society.
