The Premier Salsa Club FAQ
  What should I wear?
  Do I need special shoes?
Do I need to bring a partner?
Do I have to come every week?
What if I have never danced before?

 An important note:
Hygiene is key, no one wants to dance with Pig Pen.
Fresh breath is important…keep those mints on hand when you go dancing.
 What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable that allows you to move easily.

Do I need special shoes?
Shoes are important.  Tennis shoes or any rubber soled shoes won’t work very well. Toms or Bobs usually work well.  Some people dance in socks, or you can put duct tape on the bottom of your shoes to allow you to spin.  If you find you are enjoying Latin dance, then consider investing in some true dance shoes.

Do I need to bring a partner?
No partner is needed to participate.  We rotate partners throughout the lesson and encourage social dancing after the lesson.  Ladies are encouraged to say yes to at least one dance, so put away the fear of rejection and just dance!

Do I have to come every week?
Everyone has a busy schedule these days.  Join us whenever you need to get your salsa fix, but if you miss a week don’t let that keep you away!  Practice makes perfect, so the more you come to the club, the better your dancing will get.

What if I have never danced before?
Don’t worry!  Come join the fun….we will teach you what you need to know.  Don’t expect to be an expert the first night.  Practice the basics and build from there.  The basic moves are the foundation for any type of dance.   Take a minute to read this great article on dance etiquette:  http://www.salsanewyork.com/magazine/articles/salsa_partnering_etiquette.htm
