Faculty Awards
Kansas State University recognizes faculty and staff with numerous institution-driven awards, as well as encourages submission and application for national and international recognition.
In order to recognize excellence in teaching performance in undergraduate programs, two $5,000 awards are made each year: One to a faculty member, and one to a graduate teaching assistant.
The awards are sponsored by the Curtin Companies and the Office of the President.

This annual award acknowledges the recipient's accomplishments and governance as a department head, service/cooperation with other units in the college and university, and service to external clientele, professional societies and to the community.
The Excellence in Engagement awards are given to highlight excellence in engaged scholarship, recognizing initiatives that demonstrate innovative and/or sustained efforts in university/community engagement positively impacting both university and community partners.
The University Distinguished Faculty Award for Mentoring of Undergraduate Students in Research recognizes outstanding individual contributions to the development of undergraduates in research projects at Kansas State University.
This award recognizes those departments or units that have made extraordinary achievements to enhance diversity within the department, college and/or the university.
The Commerce Bank Presidential Faculty/Staff Award for Distinguished Services to Historically Under-Represented Minority Students was established in 1978 to recognize outstanding individual contributions to the development of quality education for students of color at Kansas State University.
The Commerce Bank and WT Kemper Foundation Distinguished Graduate Faculty Award recognizes current graduate faculty members for their remarkable academic accomplishments and contributions to graduate education at the institution. Award winners recieve an honorarium, are acknowledged at the Graduate School commencement ceremony, and public lecture.
