Salina Campus

The Salina Campus generates hazardous waste (HW) and is a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator. See the Salina HW Generator Status and Management Requirements page for handling hazardous waste.

Air Permitting:
As part of the air permitting process, notify the Manhattan campus EHS office of plans to install any new equipment that uses fuel or emits particulates, such as ovens or emergency generators. See a complete list. The Manhattan campus EHS office will review the equipment and determine whether a notice is required to be sent to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. EHS will keep an inventory of all the equipment as well as any air permitting determinations.
