WE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
Sigma Nu's brotherhood is unique, as you will see when you meet our members. We strive to excel in every area available to us as college students; but, despite our success, we retain a warm, down-to-earth brotherhood.
Our success stems from our determination to be the best. We strive to structure our environment around our founding principles of Love, Truth, and Honor, building an atmosphere in which our members can excel and grow. Sigma Nu's do not haze; instead, we assist each other in becoming gentlemen, leaders, and men of Honor. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity as an incoming college student to meet and get to know the members of Sigma Nu ... and see why we make the difference.
Dear Prospective Brother,
Congratulations on reaching the conclusion of your high school career and thank you for taking time to explore the Sigma Nu website. Sigma Nu, our nation's first "Honor" fraternity, was founded in 1869 at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. One fateful night, three cadets secretly met on the campus of Virginia Military Institute and vowed to create a fraternity founded on honor and in opposition to hazing traditions. Our Chapter here at Kansas State University has continued to initiate men who uphold the highest moral principles since our founding in 1913. The cynical, sarcastic, and constant complainers do not belong in this Fraternity; Sigma Nu recruits only honorable gentlemen.
As a Sigma Nu, you live by the founding principles of Love, Truth, and Honor. You will witness yourself grow into an adult, developing the skills necessary to succeed during and after your collegiate career. Remember though, a quality education is our primary goal as a college student.
Simply put, Sigma Nu is the best because we recruit the best. We invite you to further explore our website and begin discovering the Sigma Nu difference. You will come to understand why the men in our Fraternity made the simplest, yet most important decision of their lives.
Sincerely,
Sigma Nu Fraternity
