Social Transformation Studies Essay Contest

The social transformation studies department would like to recognize the excellent work our students produce in their American ethnic studies, gender, women, and sexuality studies, and social transformation studies courses. At the end of the spring semester of every academic year, two awards of $200 each are made in recognition of the outstanding written analysis students have produced. Traditionally, one award is given to an undergraduate and one to a graduate, but this is based on submissions received. Essay must have been produced in an AMETH, GWSS, or STRAN class in the Summer or Fall of 2024 or Spring of 2025 to be considered.
