Take the next step in your academic journey. The K-State Testing Center currently provides test information and administers entrance exams for students planning to sit for the ACT, ACCUPLACER Assessments, SAT, and Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS).
ACT
K-State administers the ACT assessment at least six times a year. Students and parents can learn more about the ACT test, find study resources, and get test registration information by visiting the ACT website.
Registration for the ACT is done online at www.act.org. If Internet access is not available, students may obtain ACT registration packets at their current high school or by contacting ACT headquarters by phone at (319) 337.1270.
ACT Workshop
Kansas State Office of Admission offers ACT Workshops at the Manhattan, Olathe and Salina campuses during the year. You can learn more about these ACT Workshops by visiting the K-State's Admissions website.
On-Campus ACT
K-State offers an on-campus ACT test for enrolled, admitted, or applying students. The test is an alternative to the ACT and allows the Test Center to proctor and immediately self-score an ACT test form, and publish results locally at K-State's Manhattan, Olathe, and Salina campuses.
The K-State Testing Center administers the On-Campus ACT test by appointment on dates when ACT is not offering a national test, or if the K-State Test Center is not participating on one of ACT's national test dates. Prospective test takers can find scheduled test dates on the Schedules page on this site. To register, complete and submit the Testing Services Request Form to the testing office.

- Scores from your administration of an On-Campus test may only be used at your college and cannot be transferred by transcript or other means to any other institution or agency.
- No Student Reports and no High School Reports are generated.
- No Additional Score Reports will be generated to report scores to any other institution.
- ACT On-Campus scores are not scored by ACT and, therefore, are not official transferable scores like those provided by The ACT National Test.
Restrictions
- ACT On-Campus Testing may not be delivered to individuals as a practice test.
- You may not provide On-Campus testing to individuals who do not intend to attend your college.
- ACT On-Campus Testing is restricted to on-campus administrations.
- Individuals, who has taken an ACT On-Campus test at K-State or any other college, may not test within 60 days of the last test.
ACCUPLACER Assessments
ACCUPLACER is an integrated system of computer-adaptive assessments designed to evaluate students’ skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. ACCUPLACER is made of three integrated components designed to support the needs of students, educators and assessment coordinators.
- Placement assessments in reading, writing, mathematics, and computer skills to align students' knowledge and skills with course requirements.
- Diagnostic assessments in reading, writing, and mathematics to identify areas of strength and knowledge gaps.
- Skill-Building support in reading, writing, and mathematics to provide intervention tools that improve skills and increase readiness for college.
The K-State Testing Center offers ACCUPLACER assessments testing for current and prospective students who are attempting to enroll in college classes at colleges and universities across the United States. Individuals interested in completing their assessment(s) at our Testing Center must submit a Testing Services Request Form at least one (1) week in advance of their desired test date.
