Vernon Larson Lecture Oct. 8: 'Youth Leadership and Engagement in Kenya, The Garden HOPE Story'
Jan Middendorf and Paul Hargrove will present "Youth Leadership and Engagement in Kenya: The Garden HOPE Story" for the Vernon Larson International Lecture at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the K-State Student Union Little Theater.
Middendorf is the director of the office of educational innovation and evaluation. As director, she supervises a 34-member staff, oversees 60 program evaluations contracts and manages a $1.6 million dollar budget.
She has an extensive background in developing collaborative relationships for project development, project improvement through evaluation and strategic planning to impact change management. She has expertise in project design, implementation, management of program evaluations, as well as the strategic planning for projects. As director, Middendorf provides leadership in project development, and in creating collaborative relationships with faculty, administrators, funding agencies and other thought leaders for the purpose of developing innovative collaborative projects.
