Reasons to live united: United Way 2013 Campaign kickoff
Submitted by K-State United Way Coordinating Committee
The K-State United Way Coordinating Committee is kicking off this year's campaign. New this year, employees have the ability to give online using Employee Self Service through HRIS.
The university has a long tradition of generously supporting United Way, which strengthens our local community, helping friends and neighbors when they need it most.
By partnering with area nonprofits, K-State United Way impacts three key community concerns: education, income and health. United Way’s goal is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of these problems. Every gift makes a difference, and real change can't happen without you.
A weekly prize drawing is available for participants. The prizes up for grabs are a parking pass, donated by parking services; a day off with pay, donated by the Division of Human Resources; McCain tickets, donated by McCain Auditorium; and two tickets to a football game, two tickets to a men's basketball game, and two tickets to a women's basketball game, donated by the Kansas State University president's office.

This year’s community goal is $500,000. Funds raised will drive collaborative community change relating to the health, education and income needs of 15,667 people in our region who live in poverty.
Please be a part of the change and help advance the common good. Campaign updates can be found on the K-State United Way website.
