Central States Marching Band Festival is Oct. 19
The Kansas State University Marching Band is hosting it's 27th Annual Central States Marching Festival on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
The festival will begin at 11:20 a.m., and the K-State Marching Band will close the festival with a special performance at 9:15 p.m. This festival is open to the public and admission is only $5.
This festival features the performances of high school marching bands from all across Kansas and is the biggest of it's kind in the state and region. This year, the festival will boast 42 bands participating and performing.
The bands will get the opportunity to perform at the stadium, receive feedback from leaders in the band and music profession, and attend clinics run by the band directors and staff at Kansas State University.
