Rebuilding together: Super typhoon Haiyan, Philippines
On Nov. 8, Super Typhoon Haiyan, local name Yolanda, considered one of the strongest storms ever recorded, slammed the central part of the Philippines and caused massive destruction.
More than 9 million people have been affected with an estimated 660,000 people, including children, displaced from their homes. More than 1,700 people are confirmed dead, with thousands more missing and feared dead.
The K-State Philippine Student Association needs your help. The association is raising funds and requesting donations to provide assistance to the families affected. All donations will be used by local organizations in the affected areas for basic needs, including water, food and medicine.
To send a check, please make it payable to KSU PhilSA and give it to any PhilSA member or send to: KSU PhilSA, Attn: Ronaldo Maghirang, 129 Seaton Hall, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS 66506.
Together, let us help them rebuild.
