Fundraiser at UMI Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar benefits Japanese club, program

Submitted by Kumiko Nakamura

The Japanese Language Club and Japanese language program in the modern languages department will have their semiannual fundraising event from 5-10 p.m. Thursday at UMI Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar, 900 Hayes Drive.

Ten percent of the total revenue from that night will go to the Japanese Language Club. A 10 percent discount will be given to those with a K-State ID. Additionally, club members will be giving away origami paper cranes, showing how to write "umi" or "ocean" in Japanese, as well as selling ornaments with origami inside of them.

It will be a fun night with discounted food, so please come and support the club.
