'We Are K-State' book features student, alumni photos
Photographers have recorded the stories of K-State for almost as long as there’s been a K-State. Twenty-six years ago, a book unique among college campuses was released. "A Week at K-State: Photographs of College" made history instantly.
Last fall, during Homecoming Week 2012, alumni photographers regrouped to create the next edition, "We Are K-State."
More than two dozen photographers, writers and editors were involved in the project that documented life on and off campus from Oct. 7-13, 2012.
“We were thrilled by the number of alumni who came back to help us cover campus,” said Maggie Clarkin Spano, the project editor and a 1992 K-State graduate. “The final product is going to be amazing.”
That product is now here. "We Are K-State" was published today as a book that includes the most popular images from the website. Fifty photos by student and alumni photographers highlight all aspects of campus life, from classrooms and dorms to Aggieville and the K-State-KU football game.
Copies of the book are available in the K-State Campus Store, Varney’s, Claflin Books, Hasting’s and Walgreens as well as online.
