Kansas Day 2014 celebration offered Jan. 29
Kansas Day is Jan. 29, and we will save a place for you at our K-State celebration.
The Hemisphere Room in Hale Library will be filled with Kansas information and the smell of beef barbeque from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The program includes Jane Marshall and her K-State cookbook "Teatime to Tailgates"; Cindy Jeffrey and Mel Chastain talking about the 150th film which we will view; Gloria Freeland sharing ways she includes Kansas facts in her journalism courses; and Nathan Peterson of the Peterson Brothers who will talk about their videos, including "I'm a Farmer and I Grow It." All three of their videos will be shown.
How well do you know your Kansas trivia? We will test your skills as you play our game before lunch.
Please register at the K-State Kansas Day celebration website. We need to know your name and to order your barbeque lunch. Hosts include Mike Haddock of the K-State Libraries, Ron Wilson of the Huck Boyd Institute, and Jana Fallin of the Teaching & Learning Center.
