SafeZone advanced training: Sexuality, gender identity
Register online for Sexuality and Gender Identity advanced SafeZone training from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in 221 Ackert Hall.
Presented by the K-State LGBT Resource Center, the training is designed to help participants gain a better understanding of the issues faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, faculty and staff of Kansas State University and within the larger community.
This training will provide information about sexuality and gender identity spectrum, concepts of cisgender privilege, and how individuals can be become better allies to those that are of different sexualities and gender identities. Through interactive conversations, participants will be given opportunities to explore how they may offer an open and affirming environment to those that identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and how allies can help to educate our campus community.
