Provost's Lecture Series on May 9 featuring John Fliter
John Fliter, associate professor of political science and 2013-2014 Coffman chair for distinguished teaching scholars, is the featured speaker for this year's Provost's Lecture Series. He will present "Games without Frontiers: Promoting Active Learning in the Classroom and Beyond" at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, in Hale Library's Hemisphere Room.
An abstract of the presentation and Fliter's short biography are available on the provost's home page. We hope that your schedule will permit you to join us for this program. We encourage you to share information about the lecture with students and invite them to attend as well.
If you are unable to attend, you can view the presentation via DVDs checked out from Hale Library. The disks will be available from the reserve desk on the second floor of Hale Library. The lecture also will be streamed live and will air on K-State TV — Cox Cable channel 8, over-the-air channel 21 — at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. daily from May 12-25.
