Kansas State chapter of Delta Upsilon visits with Delta Upsilon International
The Delta Upsilon, or DU, alumni board and undergraduate executives had their annual spring alumni board meeting on April 26 at the Kansas Wheat Innovations Center in Manhattan. Alumni board president Frank York, Ashland, welcomed alumni and students to the meeting.
"These quarterly joint meetings are an integral part to the success of the chapter," said Frank York, Delta Upsilon alumni board president. "We alums are always impressed with the leadership within the house."
The morning session of the meeting was filled with the K-State Delta Upsilon executive council student officers giving their reports to the alumni board and filled with excitement of several recent achievements on campus, including the Miss K-State competition and the Greek man of the year.
Tyler Johnson, Parsons, was selected Greek man of the year. The afternoon session featured a presentation by John Duncan, director of the Delta Upsilon International Foundation in Indianapolis. Also, former Delta Upsilon alumni board chairman John Eplee, Atchison, gave Duncan a tour of Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
"The Kansas State chapter of Delta Upsilon has long been a leader in our fraternity and it was a pleasure to spend time with the alumni and current undergraduate leadership discussing the various ways we can advance the success of the chapter moving forward," Duncan said.
This summer the K-State Delta Upsilon chapter will travel to Kansas City to the Leadership Institute in hopes of obtaining a historical record of becoming the top Delta Upsilon chapter for the third consecutive year.
