Vaughan hired as assistant coordinator for K-State First
After a national search, the office of undergraduate studies has named Mariya Vaughan as assistant coordinator for K-State First.
Vaughan has served as a graduate teaching assistant and full-time instructor in the English and women's studies departments at Kansas State University for the past five years. She has worked closely with students not only as a teacher, but also as a mentor and advisor. Vaughan will be using her teaching and instructional methods to oversee the Guide to Personal Success program. She also will spearhead the public relations and marketing needs of K-State First, aided by her background in Web and print design.
Vaughan earned her bachelor's degree in graphic design and women's studies from Kansas State University, and continued on at K-State to earn her master's in English and women's studies.
Vaughan joins the current K-State First team, including Gregory Eiselein, director; Kylie Kinley, learning assistant coordinator; and Mandi McKinley, staff assistant. The office is in 008 Leasure Hall.
