Chambers, Koppel report on food safety research at international conference
Edgar Chambers, university distinguished professor of human nutrition, and Kadri Koppel, assistant professor of human nutrition, presented their research at the 2014 International Association for Food Protection conference in Indianapolis this week.
Koppel reported on data from a new survey comparing food safety practices and knowledge regarding raw poultry and shell eggs in 10 countries.
Chambers presented "From Store to Fridge: Findings from U.S. Shop-a-Long Grocery Store Interviews on Consumer Handling of Raw Poultry."
Both College of Human Ecology faculty members are with the K-State's Sensory Analysis Center.
