Preteen health promotion program seeking participants with parental permission
The Wildcat Wellness Coaching Trial is accepting enrollment of girls ages 8-13 years who are interested in a fun health promotion program with "big sister" support from a K-State student.
Dear parents of girls in the third through seventh grades:
- Are you concerned about your daughter's physical fitness level or eating habits?
- Does your daughter have concerns about body image or self-esteem?
- Has your daughter been picked on or bullied because of her size or weight?
- Could your daughter benefit from a big sister-type role model?
If any of these apply, she may be eligible for a special wellness program led by K-State researchers. Assessments will take place on campus and sessions with the big sister will take place in the girl's home.
For more information to enroll contact Ric Rosenkranz at ricardo@k-state.edu or 785-532-0152.
