K-State faculty to participate in the Kansas Alliance for the Arts in Educations Conference
The Kansas Alliance for the Arts in Educations, KSAAE, is hosting the third annual professionals development conference and business meeting "Arts, Science and Beyond: Moving STEM to STEAM" from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center.
Presentations being made by Kansas State University faculty and staff include:
• "The Meadow: a Living STEA+M Experiment" by Katie Kingery-Page, associate professor of landscape architecture/regional & community planning, and Kathrine Walker Schlageck, senior educator at the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art.
• "The Importance of the ARTS for developing engineers" by Frederick Burrack, professor of music education and director of assessment.
