Architectural engineering professor delegate at national conference
Kimberly Kramer, professor of architectural engineering, will serve as a delegate to the 2014 annual conference of the National Council of Structural Engineers Association, Sept. 17-20, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Kramer, a past president of the Structural Engineers Association of Kansas and Missouri, a subsidiary of the national group, is the single Kansas delegate and there is one Missouri delegate from the two-state area.
The association, drawing together the best in the structural engineering field, advances the practice of the profession and serves to protect the public's right to safe, sustainable and cost-effective buildings, bridges and other structures.
"It is an honor to have Professor Kramer represent the department at this important conference," said Ray Yunk, department head of architectural engineering and construction science. "The association helps to shape not only the field of structural engineering but structural engineering education as well."
