Upcoming webinars from University Consortium for Geographic Information Science
The University Consortium for Geographic Information Science is hosting a series of webinars during the fall 2014 semester. The first, "Blended Learning in a GIScience Course" by Alex Klippel, from the geography department at Pennsylvania State University, will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29.
A nonprofit association of 70 universities with multidisciplinary graduate education and advanced research programs in geographic information science, the consortium is the U.S. hub for the advanced geographic information science community dealing with issues ranging from curriculum, to new research challenges, to applied research that meets national needs.
As a University Consortium for Geographic Information Science member institution, Kansas State University faculty and staff may participate in consortium webinars at no cost. Register for this webinar and review the current fall 2014 schedule.
Funding for K-State's University Consortium for Geographic Information Science membership was provided by the geography department and through an Academic Excellence award from the Office of the Provost.
