Submitted by Communications and Marketing
The Division of Communications and Marketing invites the university community to participate in K-State's 2014 Brand Day Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the K-State Student Union.
This year's event will begin at 9 a.m. in the Union Ballroom with a keynote address from Tim Lee, project manager for LinkedIn and a K-State alumnus. He will share his experiences working for the world's largest professional social networking service and provide his insights on personal branding.
Following the keynote, participants will be invited to join in concurrent roundtable discussions from 10 a.m. to noon to receive university branding updates and have their questions answered. Topics will include design, marketing, news/media, photography, social media, trademark licensing, university printing, video, Web development and global food systems.
A vendor expo also will be set up in the second floor concourse area at the K-State Student Union from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The expo will provide a great opportunity for faculty, staff, students, organizations and clubs to get new ideas and view samples of licensed K-State apparel and promotional products.
"We are excited to welcome Tim Lee back to K-State for a presentation we think will be interesting and beneficial to our many audiences including faculty, staff and students," said Steve Logback, associate vice president for communications and marketing. "We also look forward to the vendor expo and collaborative sessions as we work together to further unify K-State's brand voice and discuss strategies for the future."
Brand Day is free with no advance registration required.
