Friday attendance challenge victory
On Friday, Sept. 19, 84 percent of the 438 K-State undergraduates enrolled in Introduction to Sociology, SOCIO 211, Section A, attended class, whereas, at Auburn University on the same day, only 83 percent of the 257 students enrolled in Joe Kicklighter's World History Part I, HIST 1010, were in attendance.
The result: K-State defeats Auburn. Congratulations to all K-State undergraduate students who made a statement last Friday, and who do so as a matter of course — no pun intended — each and every week. The students in Dandaneau's sociology class will receive special Auburn University mints in recognition of their victory, while K-State will send the Auburn students purple-wrapped Hershey Kisses because we're good sports and, let's face it, 83 percent isn't bad.
