Entomologists receive national recognition for YouTube video

Brian McCornack, assistant professor of entomology; Wendy Johnson, postdoctoral research associate in entomology; and Ernie Hodgson from Iowa State University, received a 2011 YouTube Your Entomology Video Award (Open Category) from the Entomological Society of America for their video "SoyPod DSS: your paperless Speed Scouting solution."
This contest gives Entomological Society of America members the opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity through video. The winning entries were shown at the opening session of the society's annual meeting in Reno, Nev., Nov. 13-16. Winners from each category received $200 and a trophy.
