Matthew Sanderson appointed visiting research fellow
Matthew Sanderson, associate professor of sociology, was recently appointed visiting research fellow at the Australian Population and Migration Research Centre.
The fellowship was awarded in recognition of his research record on migration, development and globalization.
Based at the University of Adelaide, the centre is one of the world's leading population research centers, with widespread recognition for its work on immigration and immigration policy in the Asia-Pacific region.
While working at the centre, he is expanding his work on the causes and consequences of immigration, focusing especially on rural communities.
He also is researching water use in the Murray-Darling River Basin in the context of climate change.
