Circolo italiano's Superhero Showdown a success
Submitted by Christopher Renner
Circolo italiano, the K-State Italian Club, had a Superhero Showdown Nov. 4-6 that raised $108.40 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Riley County.
Circolo italiano thanks the K-State students, faculty and staff who contributed to the effort with their volunteer hours and financial contributions. In the end, the female superheros beat out their male counterparts for earning the most contributions for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children realize their potential and build their futures. As the nation's largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers, or Bigs, and children, or Littles, ages 6-18, in communities across the country.
