Staley School of Leadership Studies selects International Service Teams for summer 2015
The Staley School of Leadership Studies has selected International Service Teams for summer 2015. These interdisciplinary teams of K-State students take part in a service-learning program by serving in communities around the world during the summer break.
The team serving in South Africa includes Paige Wiley, Grace Works, Patrick Kenny, Charles King-Hagen, Caitlin Hall and Alyssa Belford.
The team serving in the Dominican Republic includes Hannah Schauf, Jacob Reidel and Kerrie Leinmiller-Renick.
International Service Teams students work with international partners to plan and implement service projects during an eight- to 10-week stay in their international country. Over the past 21 years, International Service Teams has served in communities worldwide through the development of service-learning initiatives based on specific community identified needs. Previous projects have focused on health, education, environmental and sustainability concerns, and youth development.
